Tips and Substitutions

  • Sear the pork chops in a hot skillet to ensure a good browning on the meat.
  • Cook the chops to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F for the best flavor.
  • Be sure to allow the chops to rest for at least 3 minutes before serving.
  • Use butter in place of ghee.
  • If you are out of fresh garlic, sprinkle the pork chops with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder at the same time you season with salt and pepper.
  • Be sure to baste the pork chops with melted ghee when serving for a super delicious, moist, pork chop.
  • Be sure you only crush the garlic and not mince it. As the garlic roasts in the oven it will caramelize and soften. It will be absolutely delicious with the pork chop.
