A Cast Iron Skillet works best. It distributes heat evenly and is easy to transfer from cooktop to oven.

    ⏲️ Baking Time

In just under 20 minutes in a 400 degree oven, you can have this delicious meal on the table that will have your family asking for it to be on the menu again soon!

    🔪 Instructions

    1. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium high heat until hot.
    2. Place 1 tablespoon of the ghee in the skillet to melt.
    3. Once hot, place the pork chops in the skillet and sear for 2 minutes on each side. Remove from heat.
    4. Add the remaining ghee, crushed garlic, and thyme to the skillet and transfer to the oven.
    5. Roast in the oven for 12 minutes, or until the pork chop reaches a temperature of 145 degrees.
    6. Spoon 1 teaspoon of sauce over pork to serve.
    7. Allow pork chops to rest for 3 minutes before serving.

    💭 Top Tips

    • Sear the pork chops in a hot skillet to ensure a good browning on the meat.
    • Cook the chops to an internal temperature of 145 degrees F for the best flavor.
    • Be sure to allow the chops to rest for at least 3 minutes before serving.

    📖 Variations

    • Use butter in place of ghee.
    • If you are out of fresh garlic, sprinkle the pork chops with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder at the same time you season with salt and pepper.
    • Baste the pork chops with melted ghee when serving for a super delicious, moist, pork chop.
    • Crush the garlic and do not mince it. As the garlic roasts in the oven it will caramelize and soften. It will be absolutely delicious with the pork chop.
