Grumpy's Honeybunch is a recipe website written by Shelby Law Ruttan, also author and owner of Honeybunch Hunts. She is author of the One Pot Paleo Cookbook, The Pescatarian Keto, and The Clean Ketogenic Diet for Beginners.
This site is devoted to sharing and creating family favorite recipes that are quick and easy to make, including recipes for the picky eater! There are recipes for beverages, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert as well as low calorie, low fat, low carb, and keto recipes.
Inspired by my maternal grandmother, this website is about my family and what we love to cook and eat. My two sons and daughter-in-law love good food and love to cook. And, we spend a lot of time making and documenting the food we create to share on this website.

Grumpy's Honeybunch is a website about cooking and baking family recipes. Food is my passion so I decided to document old recipes along with new. I like to take old family recipes and recreate them to fit the some of our favorite flavors and change them up. I also like to recreate old recipes into low carb or keto friendly recipes.
I have followed many diets over the years. Weight Watchers, South Beach, Keto, Low Carb, and the list could go on. Therefore you will find a variety of recipes on this website that can satisfy many different diets in your home.
Quick and Easy Recipes
I have always needed quick and easy recipes to feed my family. I have been a homemaker for the last 35 years and also worked outside of the home the majority of that time. While I no longer work outside of the home, my life is still very busy and I still need those quick and easy recipes.
The dreaded question I was sure to hear most nights would be "what's for dinner?" I dreaded it because for the most part, I didn't know. I learned how to cook on the fly, making quick and easy recipes and began documenting them.
Feeding Picky Eaters
I have had to deal with several picky eater's in my cooking lifetime. Beause of that I love to find recipes that my family may think they don't like and turn them into recipes they will love.
Many recipes are now favorites because of this, some of them being Crispy General Tso's Tofu and Low Carb Lasagna. For the most part I don't consider many in my family picky anymore, but we still love these tried and true recipes all the same.
Family Recipes
Today, I create a variety of quick and easy recipes for a variety of diets. Weekly family dinner night has become casserole night, or trying out new recipes we have never made before.
I also like to try out a new dessert for family dinner night. When I am cooking for just one or two, I like to document those recipes also.

Shelby, I like the recipe for you Honey Rhubarb pie. I would like a copy but I find that it is to many pages to copy off the computer. Can you send me a copy of it? I grow up when all there was ,was green rhubarb. We would eat it with no sugar right out of the plant.
