Born and raised in Northern New York near the St. Lawrence River, I now call North Carolina home, where I continue to share cherished family recipes and new culinary creations.

How it all began
My culinary journey was inspired by my grandmother, Mae Whitton-affectionately known as Nanny. In 2007, I started this blog to preserve her beloved recipes and share my own, ensuring that my children and future grandchildren could always find them at their fingertips. Originally named Grumpy's Honeybunch, the blog has evolved alongside my life, reflecting my growth as a content creator and recipe developer.
My Culinary Path
Though not formally trained, my kitchen education came from the best teachers-my mom and Nanny. Their passion for cooking instilled in me a love for creating delicious meals.
Over the years, I've authored three cookbooks: The One Pot Paleo Cookbook, The Pescatarian Keto, and The Clean Ketogenic Diet for Beginners. Collaborating with organizations like the New York Beef Council and Veal.org, I've developed recipes and videos, and served as an ambassador for brands such as CK Mondavi and Certified Angus Beef.
Tried and True Family Recipes
At HoneyB's Kitchen, you'll find a variety of recipes-from old-fashioned comfort foods to light, healthy dishes, and low-carb keto options. Whether it's a weeknight casserole, a new dessert for family dinner night, or a meal for one or two, my goal is to provide recipes that are both delicious and approachable.
The here and now
Today I live in North Carolina and am happily still creating recipes in my own home to share with my family and followers. I babysit my grandson on off days and live close to my youngest son.
My oldest son lives in Madrid, Spain, where I spent two months of 2022. My plan is to own a home in North Carolina and Spain where I can visit between my two children all while still continuing my career as a content creator and cookbook author.
