Instructions
- Preheat the broiler.
- Season the boneless chops with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Sear the pork chops on both sides 4 minutes, or until golden and the internal temperature of the pork has reached 145 degrees. Transfer the pork chops to a plate and set aside.
- Reduce the burner to medium heat. Add the ghee to the same pan, scraping up the browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Add the garlic cloves and sauté for 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
- Add the honey, water, red pepper flakes, and vinegar to the pan. Increase the heat to medium-high and cook stirring occasionally, for couple of minutes, or until the sauce has reduced and thickened.
- Return the pork chops back to the pan and baste with the pan sauce.
- Place the pork chops in the oven and broil for 1 minute, or until edges are slightly charred and color is golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro if using.
💭 Tips
- Preheat the skillet and sure it is hot enough to sear and brown the pork chops.
- Use the olive oil to brown the pork chops. The ghee is for the sauce, it will not work as well as the olive oil for browning.
- Pay attention to the cooking time and don't overcook the pork chops recipe. Doing so may cause a dry piece of meat.
