    ❤️ Why you'll love it

Delicious flavors: pork pairs so well with apples and this recipe is perfect blend of flavors.

Simple recipe: if you love simple recipes bursting with flavor, then this is a recipe you will want to make.

One dish meal: all elements of this recipe are made in one skillet!

    Ingredients for pork chop recipe.

    🥘 Ingredients

Bone-in pork chops: approximately 4 pork chops

Salt and black pepper: to season the chops

Olive oil: to saute the pork

Apples: I prefer honey crisp apples which are sweet and crisp.

Onions: I used red onions but feel free to use a sweet onion (vidalia) or yellow onions as well.

Maple syrup: adds a little sweet to to the sauce, feel free to use honey or brown sugar in its place if desired.

    Chicken stock

    Half and half

    Dijon mustard

Fresh rosemary and sage: fresh herbs add a lot of flavor.

Pork chops searing in hot skillet.

    🔪 Instructions

    1. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.
    2. Place pork chops to the hot pan and sear 4 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Transfer pork chops to a plate and set aside
    3. In a small bowl, combine the chicken broth, half and half, maple syrup, and dijon mustard. Set aside.
    4. Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the skillet. Add the apples and onions to the hot oil and saute for 5 minutes, until apples and onions have softened. Season with salt, pepper, rosemary and sage.
    5. Pour chicken broth into skillet and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer sauce for 3 minutes. Return pork chops back into the pan, nestling between the onions and apples. Simmer 4 minutes, until pork chops are cooked through (internal temperature of 145 degrees F) and stock has reduced by half.

I made this tonight, An awesome dish. Love it. Thanks for sharing.

I added the apple and onions to the hot oil in step three. I think that darn auto correct deleted this from this step.
