    ❤️ Why you'll love it

✔️ No more greasy frying pan and grease splatters to clean up afterward!

✔️ You can enjoy a great meal on burger night with a cooking time under 15 minutes.

✔️ This recipe makes 4 good-sized hamburgers are packed with protein!

    🥘 Ingredients

Fresh lean ground beef, for less smoke chances in the air fryer.

Barbecue sauce, my favorite is this sweet and spicy barbecue sauce!

Seasoning, I use this all purpose umami seasoning.

    Non stick spray

    Burger ingredients.

    🔪 Instructions

    1. Preheat the air fryer at 400 degrees for 3 minutes. Spray the air fryer basket or tray with non stick spray.
    2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, seasoning, and barbecue sauce.
    3. Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal sized beef patties.
    4. Place the hamburger patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer (or the air fryer tray) and slide into the the air fryer. If using an air fryer with a tray, slide it into the center rack.
    5. Air fry hamburgers for 7 minutes at 400 degrees. Remove the burgers from the air fryer and flip over, returning to the air fryer for another 5 minutes, or until a meat thermometer inserted into the center of each patty registers 160 degrees F.
    6. To make a cheeseburger, top cooked burgers with your favorite cheese slices and return to the air fryer for 40-60 seconds.

    🥄 Equipment

    Air Fryer

    Turner

    Measuring cups

    Measuring spoons

Raw burgers on the air fryer rack.

    🥫Storage

Store leftover burgers in an airtight container in the fridge up to 3 days and in the freezer up to 3 months.

    📖 Variations

Substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef.

Some great cheese top top the burgers with would be american cheese, sharp cheddar, or provolone.

Various ways to season the burgers would be to use onion powder, garlic powder, worcestershire sauce, or a touch of liquid smoke.

    💭 Tips

Buy ground meat with a lower fat content to prevent smoking in the air fryer.

For the best burgers, butter the hamburger bun and toast it under the broiler until golden for a crispy buttery roll.

Use an instant read thermometer to check the internal temperature.

Line the drip pan with an air fryer liner or aluminum foil to prevent a greasy mess.
