    ❤️ Why you'll love it

✔️ Keto roasted radishes taste very similar to roasted potatoes when roasted and make a great low carb keto substitute.

✔️ Once roasted, the radish loses its "bite" and mellow out with a texture and flavor similar to that of a roasted potato.

✔️ It is a keto radish recipe with only 2 net carbs per serving.

    🥘 Ingredients

Fresh radishes, I like to choose radishes with the greens on them still, that way I know they are the freshest possible.

Extra virgin olive oil, to coat the outside of the radish, add healthy fat, and help the seasoning adhere to the radish.

Umami Powder, this brand is similar to an all purpose seasoning and it brings out the best flavor in the roasted radishes.

A bowl of cleaned and prepared radishes.

    🔪 Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Add the radishes to a medium bowl and drizzle the olive oil over the radishes. Toss to coat with oil.
    2. Sprinkle the umami seasoning over the radishes and toss to coat with the seasoning.
    3. Roast radishes for 30 minutes, or until radishes are fork tender and lightly browned.

    🥄 Equipment

    Rimmed baking sheet

    Mixing bowl

    Wooden spoon

    Measuring spoons

Prepared and seasoned radishes on baking sheet before baking.

    🥫Storage

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge up to 3 days.

    📖 Variations

    • Substitute the umami seasoning for 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper, and ½ teaspoon smoked paprika.
    • Toss ¼ cup coarsely ground pork rinds with the radishes before cooking to add an extra crisp to the outer layer of the radishes.

    💭 Tips

    • Always wash and trim the radishes. I cut the root end off and make sure the top stalk is trimmed off as well. Once washed, pat the radishes dry.
    • Cut the bigger radishes in half or quarters and leave the smaller ones uncut. Try to keep the radishes all similar in size before oven roasting them.

    🙋 FAQ's

Can you make keto radishes in the air fryer?

You can make air fryer roasted radishes following the same prep steps and place the seasoned radishes in the air fryer for 10 minutes at 400 degrees f. Be sure to toss the radishes about halfway thru cooking time.

What do roasted radishes taste like?

Raw radishes are crisp and have a slight spicy bite to them. However, once roasted, they lose that bite and are very similar to roasted potatoes.

Keto Roasted Radishes make a great replacement for potatoes and they will reduce the carb count in recipes, sometimes being the only change to make the recipe keto friendly. Try using radishes in the recipes below.

These Oven Roasted Radishes are very similar to a potato when cooked, and I actually tend to like them better than potatoes!

Radishes have a natural "bite" to them, that some may call heat or spice. However, oven roasted radishes lose that bite and mellow out. Their texture is close to that of a potato and the flavor is very close.
