This Chocolate Cobbler is a rich, gooey dessert that's baked right in your slow cooker. No oven needed! It's warm, fudgy, and the perfect treat for anyone who loves molten-style chocolate desserts.

I love making this recipe on cozy weekends when I want something indulgent but low-effort. It reminds me of the old-fashioned chocolate pudding cake, but made easier with the crockpot.

Why You'll Love This Recipe
Rich Flavor: deep, dark chocolate flavor in every spoonful.
Simple prep: mix and go - the slow cooker does the work for you.
Perfect texture: soft cake on top, thick chocolate sauce underneath.

Key Ingredients for Chocolate Cobbler Recipe
See the recipe card below for a full list of ingredients and instructions.
- All purpose flour: the base that gives the cobbler a soft, cake like top.
- Cocoa powder: adds that deep chocolate flavor. Use unsweetened for best results.
- Granulated sugar: sweetens both the cake and the sauce layer.
- Whole milk: gives richness and a smooth texture.
- Melted butter: adds flavor and keeps the cobbler tender.
- Boiling water: helps create that molten chocolate layer as it cooks.
- Vanilla extract: rounds out the sweetness with warm, aromatic flavor.

Ingredient Substitutions
- Use brown sugar instead of white sugar for a deeper caramel note.
- Swap almond milk for whole milk for a lighter version.
- Replace butter with coconut oil for a lighter, slightly tropical flavor.
Variations on Crockpot Chocolate Cobbler
- Peanut Butter Swirl: drop spoonfuls of peanut butter before cooking.
- Mocha cobbler: stir in a teaspoon of instant expresso for a coffee kick.
- Nutty delight: sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the top before cooking.

Tips for the Best Chocolate Cobbler
- Don't stir the topping: when adding the sugar and cocoa mix, sprinkle it evenly and leave it alone so the sauce forms properly.
- Use a large crockpot: a 6-quart size allows for even cooking and a gooey texture.
- Serve warm: the chocolate sauce thickens as it cools, so serve right away with ice cream.
How to Store and Reheat
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, microwave individual servings for 30-40 seconds, or warm in the crockpot on low until heated through.

Serve With...
Top your Chocolate Cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce, or a dollop of whipped topping.
