    A Cooling Tropical Drink

I have always loved the combination of coconut and lime. I loved it so much I was always looking for ways to incorporate the two flavors together. These Coconut Cupcakes with Lime Buttercream have been a staple summertime cupcake recipe and to this day remains my favorite cupcake ever.

These Coconut Lime Margaritas reminds me of warm tropical breezes and makes me want to go back to the Caribbean. It has the creaminess and sweetness of a pina colada. Cool, refreshing, and absolutely delicious!

    🥘 Ingredients

Cream of Coconut, this is something you find in the cocktail section of the store, or you can buy it here. It is not the same as coconut cream. It is thick, creamy, and sweetened.

    Fresh Limes

    Tequila

    Triple Sec

    Toasted Coconut

    Ice

A blender to whip it all up good! I use one similar to this one and it works perfectly fine.

    🔪 Instructions

    1. Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
    2. Run a cut lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip the glass into the mixture of coconut and sugar crystals.
    3. Pour and enjoy!

    💭 Top Tips

    • Use crushed ice for a quicker and frostier blend.
    • To reduce calories, you can substitute ½ cup of coconut milk or coconut water for the cream of coconut.
    • I highly recommend you do not make coconut water or coconut milk a full substitute for the coconut cream.
    • Increase the amount of ice to adjust for the level of frostiness you would like in the beverage.
    • Substitute white rum for the tequila.
    • Rim the glass with honey instead of lime juice.

🍹 More Tropical Drinks To Try

Coconut Lime Rum Refresher, made with coconut water, rum, sweetened condensed milk, and whole fresh limes. This is my son's very favorite drink!

Mango Rum Colada, coconut water, rum, lime juice, cream of coconut, and rum are blended with fresh mangos for a frosty fruity tropical drink!

Peach Bellini Slushy, frozen peaches, peach schnapps, and prosecco blend up together to make this frozen brunch drink.

Pina Colada Freeze, if you like Pina Coladas, you will love this frozen version!

Berry Sangria Slushy, the perfect blend of wine and frozen berries.
