Ingredients

cream of coconut
1
cup
tequila
1
cup
ice

cup
lime juice
, freshly squeezed

triple sec

toasted coconut

tablespoon
coarse sugar crystals
Instructions
Zest and juice the limes. Set the juice aside and mix the lime zest, and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar with the toasted coconut flakes.
Run a cut lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip the glass into the coconut mixture.
Place the lime juice, tequila, triple sec, all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Pour into prepared glass and garnish with a slice of lime (if using).

Notes
Use crushed ice for a quicker and frostier blend.
To reduce calories, you can substitute ½ cup of coconut milk or coconut water for the cream of coconut.
I highly recommend you do not make coconut water or coconut milk a full substitute for the coconut cream.
Increase the amount of ice to adjust for the level of frostiness you would like in the beverage.
Substitute white rum for the tequila.
Rim the glass with honey instead of lime juice.
