    🙋 Recipe FAQ's

Can you make homemade tortilla chips in the oven instead of the air fryer?

Yes! Just be sure to lay them out in a single layer on a large baking sheet coated with cooking spray, then follow the same instructions for the air fryer by turning them over halfway through cooking. Cook tIme will vary, so keep a close watch on them so they do not burn.

Why does the hot air blow the tortillas around in the air fryer?

This happens because it is hot air circulating around the tortilla chips, it is likely they will "move" from the pressure of hot air. To solve this, lay a heat proof plate or trivet on top of the chips to prevent them from blowing around in the air fryer.

Cut and seasoned tortilla pieces on an air fryer tray.

    💭 Tips

    • For best results, be sure the tortilla chips are laid out in a single layer to ensure the hot air will surround the tortilla to make crispy tortilla chips.
