To bake frozen dough balls: place in 350 degree preheated oven and bake for 10 - 13 minutes (allowing a little extra time for frozen dough).

    📖 Variations

    • Add your favorite chopped nut to the cookie for added crunch. Great nuts to use would be almonds, pecans, macadamia, or walnuts.
    • Substitute lemon or lime zest for the orange zest.
    • Stir in ½ cup rolled oats for more texture.

    💭 Tips

    • Be sure to use room temperature butter and eggs when making these cookies to prevent curdling of the ingredients.
    • Freeze the cookie dough balls to bake later, place dough balls on a lined baking sheet then place in the freezer until frozen solid, transfer to an airtight container until ready to bake.

    🙋 FAQ's

Can I use fresh cranberries instead of dried cranberries?

Using fresh cranberries in this recipe would cause a change in the structure of the cookie dough as fresh cranberries are nearly 90% water.

Can I use dark chocolate instead of white chocolate chips?

Yes! Dark chocolate pairs wonderfully with cranberries and orange flavors, giving the cookies a less sweet and different flavor profile .
