- Honey: adds sweetness and helps create that sticky caramelized finish.
- Garlic: freshly minced cloves infuse the sauce with rich flavor.
- Rice vinegar: balances the sweetness with a touch of tang.
- Ghee and olive oil: give the sear and sauce a buttery depth.
Ingredient Substitutions
- Pork chops: swap with boneless chicken breasts or thighs.
- Rice vinegar: apple cider vinegar works well.
- Ghee: butter is a simple and tasty substitute.
Variations on Honey Garlic Pork Chops
- Spicy kick: add extra red pepper flakes or a splash of sriracha.
- Herb finish: Garnish with parsley or thyme instead of cilantro.
- Citrus twist: stir a little orange zest in the sauce for brightness.

Tips for Perfect Pork Chops
- Don't overcook: remove from the pan once chops reach 145°F for juicy meat.
- Scrape the pan: those browned bits add so much flavor to the sauce.
- Finish under the broiler: that quick char brings out a smoky sweetness.
How to Store and Reheat
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet over medium heat with a splash of chicken broth to keep the sauce glossy.
