This Oroblanco Cherry Martini is a vodka based drink made with sweet cherry juice, and tangy oroblanco juice. It is tropical twist on the classic martini making it a great summer time beverage.

Oroblanco Cherry Martini in a martini glass with a oroblanco slice and maraschino cherry garnish.

❤️ Why I Love This Recipe

✔️ It combines a sweet fruit with a slightly sour fruit for an irresistible sweet tang.

✔️ It's easy to make in just minutes, and can be a fun party beverage in the summer time.

✔️ This recipe can easily be made ahead in a large batch and stored in the refrigerator until it is party time!

    🥘 Ingredients

Vodka, your favorite brand works here.

Triple sec adds a little more sweetness.

Maraschino cherry juice and cherries (for garnish)

    Fresh oroblanco

    🔪 Instructions

    1. Using a fruit juicer, squeeze the oroblanco juice out of the fruit. Set aside.
    2. Pour the vodka, oroblanco juice, and maraschino cherry juice in a cocktail shaker over ice. Shake well.
    3. Strain into martini glass and drop a cherry or two in the glass. Garnish with a slice of oroblanco and maraschino cherries.

    🙋 Recipe FAQ's

    What is oroblanco?

Oroblanco is a hybrid fruit that looks similar to a white grapefruit with a sweeter flavor that has no bitterness.

Where can I buy an oroblanco?

Oroblancos are in season from September - December. They are sold in grocery stores throughout the us. They are mainly popular in the west coast, but can be found in the mid-west and east coast also.

What can I substitute for an oroblanco?

You can substitute either a polmello or grapefruit. I recommend a pink grapefruit as it is not as bitter as the white grapefruit.

    💭 Tips

    • Use a citrus reamer to get as much of the juice as possible from the fruit.
    • Substitute regular cherry juice for maraschino cherry juice.
    • If the drink is not sweet enough, feel free to add simple syrup to taste.

    📖 Variations

    • Use all cherry juice in place of the oroblanco juice and maraschino cherry juice for a full on cherry martini.
    • Blend the drink and ice in a blender for a frozen martini.

I'm so glad things are turning around Shelby. We've been through it too, my husband was laid off a few years ago and I am thankful to this day it worked out for us too. It is SO stressful, especially for the man of the house right? Cheers to you both! Beautiful beverage!
