These Air Fryer Buffalo Wings are crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and coated in a classic buttery hot sauce that bring the perfect amount of heat. They're simple to make, full of flavor, and done in under an hour.

This was one of the first air fryer recipes I made for a game day gathering, and they've been a family favorite ever since. If you love the flavor of buffalo sauce, try my Buffalo Chicken Pizza or these Buffalo Chicken Sliders for more spicy snack options.

Why You'll Love These Buffalo Wings
Crispy without frying: the air fryer gives you that crave worthy crispy skin without any oil splatter or mess.
Quick and easy: just season, air fry, and toss with sauce. Minimal prep and cleanup.
Perfect for parties: a crowd pleasing snack everyone grabs off the plate the second they're served.
Key Ingredients
Chicken wings (tips cut and sectioned): you'll get 12 pieces from 6 whole wings.
Salt and pepper: a simple seasoning to enhance the flavor fo the chicken while it cooks.
Hot sauce: gives wings the buffalo flavor. Frank's RedHot is my favorite one, but I also love Texas Pete!
Butter: adds richness and helps the sauce cling to the wings for that classic finish.

Recipe Variations
Honey Buffalo Wings: add a tablespoon of honey to the hot sauce for a touch of sweetness.
Extra spicy: mix in cayenne pepper or hot chili flakes to the sauce for a bigger kick.
Sweet and Spicy Chili Wings: add some sweet chili sauce to the hot sauce mixture.
Top Tips
- Don't overcrowd the air fryer. Use a rack or cook in batches if needed.
- If wings are frozen, thaw before cooking and pat wings dry before seasoning.
- Toss immediately in sauce while hot for best coating.
Storage and Reheating
Store completely cooled wings in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 5-7 minutes or until warmed through and crispy again.
Serve With...
Serve these buffalo wings with a side of sweet potato fries for a fun finger food combo. They are also great dipped into some homemade ranch dressing. Make them part of a game day spread along with mozzarella sticks and stuffed jalapenos.
