🥘 Ingredients

​Frozen strawberries, buy sliced frozen berries, or buy fresh fruit and freeze them yourself.

Rum: I like use a light rum but a dark rum can be substituted.

Fresh lime juice

Granulated sugar 

🔪 Instructions

1. Place the strawberries, white rum, lime juice, and sugar in the blender.
2. Blend on high until no strawberry chunks remain and the drink is frosty and smoothie like.

🍽 Equipment

Heavy Duty Blender: you want a powerful blender that will easily break down the frozen strawberries

Citrus reamer: I find this is the best tool for getting the most juice out of any citrus frult.

📖 Variations

• Use ⅔ cup simple syrup instead of sugar.
• Substitute frozen peaches, cherries, raspberries, or blueberries for the strawberries.
• Substitute lemon juice for lime juice, or use a combination of both.
• Add a good splash of grand marnier for a complimentary orange flavor.

💭 Top Tips

• When shopping for juicy limes, look for large ones that give when gently squeezed. 
• Take advantage of strawberry season and freeze the ripest sweetest berries for this cocktail recipe.
