The Dark Sweet Cherry Mojito has become my newest obsession and my favorite weekend drink this spring! Frozen cherries that are blended with a little water a little sweetener and served up with lime juice and rum. Delicious, pretty, and oh so addicting!
We fell in love with mojitos after our very first Caribbean cruise. Grumpy and I and fell in love with life in the sun and mojitos. So, when I came across some frozen dark sweet cherries, I knew I would be trying a Cherry Mojito.
What you need to make a Cherry Mojito
White Rum works best in this cherry mojito. However, you can use dark or spiced rum if that is your preference.
Sweetener: Use sugar or a sugar-free sweetener of your choice.
Dark Sweet Cherries (frozen): You can find these in the freezer section of the grocery store. After all, it's not a cherry mojito without the cherries 🙂
Club Soda: for that little bit of fizz!
Equipment needed to make this beverage recipe

Blender: (I use this one) A blender is necessary for this Black Cherry Mojito recipe since you will be blending fruit.
Strainer: To strain and remove chunks of the cherries after blending them. This isn't absolutely necessary for your cherry mojito if you don't mind pieces of fruit floating in your beverage. I've made this recipe both ways.
Cocktail shaker: I muddle the mint in the cocktail shaker then use it to shake the beverage together.
Wooden citrus juicer: For juicing the limes. I use the strainer when juicing the limes to catch any seeds and pulp that comes out with the juice
Muddler: to smash the mint leaves, sugar, and lime juice together. This brings all those flavors out that will go in the beverage.
Other Mojito Recipes you may enjoy
We are definite mojito fans. For the most part, a mojito is not super sweet and when you do make your own you can make it as sweet or unsweet as you wish. When we aren't enjoying a Cherry Mojito, you can be assured we are sipping on one of these!
Watermelon Mojito is another delicious and fruity way to enjoy a mojito during the hot summer months. This can be made in big batches and stored in the fridge for those summer parties with friends!
