    These Peanut Butter Layer Bars are so delicious. Chewy on the inside with crispy edges, this 7 layer bar is made with peanut butter chips and mini peanut butter cups with sweetened condensed milk as the binder.

    🥘 Ingredients

    Graham cracker crumbs

    Unsalted butter 

    Sweetened condensed milk

    Peanut butter chips 

    Mini reese’s peanut butter cups

    Sweetened coconut flakes

    Walnuts

    Baking dish with layers of dessert bar ingredients.

    🔪 Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray baking dish with cooking spray.
    2. Place the butter in a prepared pan and place it in the oven for 5 minutes, until the butter has melted.
    3. Remove the pan with melted butter from the oven and sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs over top of the melted butter.
    4. Stir the butter and graham cracker crumbs together with a wooden spoon, then press firmly into the pan to form a crust layer.
    5. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over top of the graham cracker crust.
    6. Sprinkle evenly in layers the peanut butter chips, peanut butter cups, coconut, and walnuts. Press down firmly on the top layer with your hands to pack ingredients in the baking dish. 
    7. Bake 30 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool completely before cutting into small squares.

    Store in an airtight container on in the fridge Store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 5 days, on in the fridge up to 2 weeks, or in the freezer up to 3 months.

    📖 Variations

    • Substitute chopped roasted peanuts for the walnuts.
    • Skip the graham cracker and butter layer and press out pre made peanut butter cookie dough into the bottom of the pan to make the bottom layer.
    • Instead of mini peanut butter cups, use semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, or butterscotch chips.

    💭 Tips

    • Be sure to cool the cookie bars completely before cutting. I recommend refrigerating the bars once cool to make sure they are cold as they will be easier to cut.
    • If desired, parchment paper can be placed in the baking dish then mix the graham crackers and butter in a mixing bowl and transfer to the dish, pressing to firmly pack the crust in the pan.

    Ingredients
      

    • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
    • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
    • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
    • 10 ounces peanut butter chips (1 package)
    • 2 cups mini peanut butter cups chopped
    • 1½ cups sweetened coconut flakes
    • 1 cup walnuts chopped

    Instructions
     

    • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees (325 degrees for glass dish). In a 13 x 9 inch baking pan melt butter in oven.
    • Remove the pan with melted butter from the oven and sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs over top of the melted butter.
    • Stir together then press into the pan to form a crust layer.
    • Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over top of the graham cracker crust.
    • Sprinkle evenly with the peanut butter chips, peanut butter cups, coconut, and walnuts. Press down firmly to pack ingredients. Bake 30 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool completely before cutting.

      I usually make these bars for the holidays. Funmy though, I recently made a batch, but not with peanut butter chips! Gotta try this version! Happy birthday to your son! My first born was late too...almost two weeks 🙂
