Quick and Easy Caramelized Onion Dip

Every day Grumpy takes veggies and dip in his lunch. I admit, when it comes to the dip part, I have taken the easy way out several times and just squirt some salad dressing in a container and ship him off.

What inspired me to make this Caramelized Onion Dip

However, he gets sick of the same old thing all the time.  Then, when I saw these Pop & Cook Sauteed Glazed Onions in the Walmart freezer section, a light bulb went off in my head! I could make my own homemade onion dip for him without all the work!

This recipe is perfect for every type of entertaining you may have on your calendar. Great for game days, holidays, or summer picnics.  You just melt a little butter, grab your Pop and Cook and pop into the bubbly butter! Cook long enough to thaw the cube out and warm it up!

The sky is the limit with Pop & Cook!

Found exclusively at Walmart, you can also buy Pop and Cook garlic, ginger, cilantro, and basil! Caramelized Onion Dip is just one of the great recipes to make with this product.

These convenient to use herbs are flash-frozen in portioned trays within 90 minutes of harvest and ready to just Pop and Cook when you need! They have a shelf life of 2 years and I have to say I absolutely love the "Pop" of the pop and cook! They come out of the trays so easily, just as it says, Pop and Cook!

About how much caramelized onions is this? I make and freeze my own, so a measurement would be helpful. Thanks!

Hi Tammy, since this recipe calls for 5 pop and cook glazed onions, I would use at least 1/2 cup of caramelized onions (homemade). Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy the recipe!
