Easy Sausage Pita Pizza is ready in 30 minutes and a delicious snack or add a salad and you have a great dinner on your hands!
    Easy Sausage Pita Pizza

For the month of March, the Allrecipe AllStars were making recipes with Johnsonville Sausages.  At the beginning of the month, Johnsonville sent us a beautiful set of Sur La Table Covered Casserole dishes along with coupons to try out their sausages.  I've had a rough month and while I started out with intentions of getting through the activities way before now, today I actually made my last recipe.  I decided that instead of posting all the recipes I made here that I would link you up to the recipes I did make on allrecipies.com and post my favorite one here on my blog.

We enjoyed all of the recipes I did make, however, this pizza, the last one I made, was my personal favorite.  It was easy, quick, and I loved the spicy sausage on the pizza.  I would make this again for certain!  I'm a big fan of pita bread pizzas so instead of the pizza crusts, I went ahead with the pita breads instead.  This time I used Tofyan pitas.  They are higher protein and a little thicker than your normal pita bread.

Here is the list of recipes I did make with the link to Allrecipes.com if your interested in trying them out also! I made two recipes with mild italian sausage and one with 3 cheese italian chicken sausage.

this is one of the dishes I received for my activity this month!

We were encouraged to make one of our favorite allrecipes.com beef recipes substituting Johnsonville Sausages.  Unfortunately, events in our life didn't allow me to do this.  However, our very favorite recipe on AR that is one I would probably attempt would be a chili recipe and I would probably go with the hot sausage.  Grumpy loves the dill pickle meatloaf from AR but I'm not so certain how sausage would work in that recipe because of the fat.  Maybe a mixture of the sausage with beef would be a better idea there.  In any case, I totally enjoyed trying the sausages and I have to say my favorite recipe was this pizza with the 3 cheese italian chicken italian sausage one coming in a very close second.  I will probably make that recipe again also!
