In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Set aside.
Add the eggs to a large bowl and whisk until foamy. Place the milk and butter in a small saucepan over medium heat and warm the milk until the butter has just melted. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Make a well in the center of the flour mixture. Pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until just blended.
Ladle the batter into a preheated and seasoned waffle iron. Close the lid and cook the waffles until golden brown and crisp.
While the waffles are cooking, place the berries warm berries and maple syrup in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high for 40 seconds. Serve over top of the waffles.
