In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of the maple syrup with the chopped walnuts, onion powder, and mustard. Stir until well combined.If the salmon is not cut into fillets, cut it into 6 equal portions.
Spray the air fryer basket or tray with cooking spray or line with aluminum foil to prevent sticking.
Place the fish filets on the basket or tray and brush with the remaining maple syrup on the top and around the outside of the salmon. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
Place the salmon in the air fryer at 400 degrees and cook for 8 minutes. Remove the salmon and evenly spread the maple walnut topping over each fillet.
