Seasoned ground beef simmered with mustard, brown sugar, and pickle juice, then piled onto a soft bun - this is my homemade take on the Maid-Rite style loose meat sandwich. It comes together in one skillet in about 20 minutes.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and saute for 2 minutes. Add the ground beef and cook, chopping the meat up into small pieces.
Cook the ground beef mixture, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes, or until the meat is no longer pink.
Add the hot chili sauce and sweetener. Stir and simmer for 3 minutes.
Add the garlic powder, coconut aminos, dill pickle juice, salt and pepper. Cook and stir for 5 minutes, or until liquid has absorbed.
