Ingredients

Large Vidalia Onion

tablespoons
butter

teaspoon
red pepper flakes

Diet A&W Root Beer
Instructions
Melt butter in a hot skillet. Add onion slices and red pepper flakes and toss to coat with butter.
Once onions sizzle, turn heat to medium and simmer for about 45 minutes, or until they begin to caramelize, stirring periodically while cooking.
Pour Diet A&W Root Beer over cooked onions.
Simmer onions in Root Beer until sauce has thickened and onions have glazed over.
Serve as desired.
