A 4-ingredient oven roasted pork chop recipe is an easy dinner recipe that versatile enough for those busy weeknights when you don't have a lot of time to spend making dinner.
Heat a cast iron skillet over medium high heat until hot.
Place 1 tablespoon butter in the skillet to melt.
Season pork chops on both sides with salt and black pepper.
Place the pork chops in the hot skillet and sear in the melted butter for 2 minutes on each side.
Remove from heat.
Add the remaining butter, crushed garlic cloves, and thyme sprigs to the hot skillet and transfer to the oven.
Roast pork chops in the oven for 12 minutes, until the meat thermometer registers an internal temperature of the pork chops is 145 degrees F.
Transfer oven roasted pork chops to serving platter and spoon 1 teaspoon of garlic thyme sauce over top of pork.
Allow pork chops to rest for 3 minutes.
