Add 1 cup plain batter to melted chocolate chips and stir until well combined.
Scoop banana batter and chocolate batter into prepared pan in alternate layers. Place a butter knife deep into the bread batter and create swirls in the bread batter by drawing the knife through the bread in a swirl pattern creating a marble effect.
Bake bread for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center of the loaf comes out clean.
Cool baked banana bread in pan for 10 minutes on a wire rack. After 10 minutes, slide a butter knife around the sides of the loaf pan to release any bread that may be stuck to the pan.
