This keto recipe is a delicious beef and butter combination that is packed with flavor. A butter basted burger is topped with cheese and onions and served on a buttery toasted keto hamburger bun.
Shape ground beef into 4 large burger patties. Place in the refrigerator and chill while the onions are cooking.
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the raw onions and cook, stirring often, for 5 minutes, until onions are translucent.
Using a slotted spoon, remove the onions from the skillet and set aside.
Place the burger patties in the skillet over medium-high heat and cook for 3 minutes on each side, placing ½ slice of cheese on top of each burger a short while before meat reaches desired level of doneness.
Transfer burgers from skillet to a plate and keep warm.
Place burger buns cut side down in the skillet and grill until golden brown. Serve burgers in toasted buns topped with onions.
