Blue is such a pretty color, don't you agree? This month as part of the AllStar Program with Allrecipes.com, we received from Sauza, a bottle of their Blue Silver 100% Blue Agave Tequila. I knew, when browsing the Sauza recipes on allrecipes website, that I would be making this Southwest Margarita. The original recipe calls for the Gold Tequila, but since what we had was the Blue Silver, I used that instead.
This drink was a little sweeter than I prefer for a boozy drink, but it still tasted great! I made my own margarita mix and maybe for this drink, I would make it more sour than I did. This is a fun drink, pretty color, and the tequila wasn't hard to drink. As I've gotten older, tequila just hasn't been my choice because I couldn't get past the smell, however this tequila was not like that at all and I had no problems drinking this beverage, as a matter of fact, I have a couple other recipes in my mind that I want to try out with this particular brand. That in itself is testimony to the fact that this tequila was not hard for me to drink at all! 🙂
If you're looking for some fun and color to add to your Cinco de Mayo party this year, this is definitely one to try out on your friends. Not harsh, very smooth, salt compliments it completely.
