The only sugar is what is in the dark chocolate chips. These are awesome and I certainly will make these again! The original recipe calls for applesauce and raisins. While I like raisins, I wanted to kill a chocolate craving. I went with dark chocolate chips. I also substituted sugar free apple butter for the applesauce. If you can’t find sugar free apple butter, then go ahead with the applesauce, but for future reference, you can make your own sugar free apple butter!
Banana Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients
- 2 cups whole rolled oats
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce or sugar free apple butter
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 almond milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Stir oats, bananas, applesause, chocolate chips, almond milk, vanilla extract and cinnamon together in a bowl until evenly mixed. Drop by spoonful onto baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until edges are golden and cookie no longer looks “wet”.
Yield: 24 cookies
